Proposed Dalton Palmer Memorial "Play Park"
The family of Dalton Palmer proudly presents plans for Dalton's Memorial Park which will be located just south of the renovated Frisco Depot and next to the old lumber yard, just north of 106 State where Magic Focus once operated. The empty lot is beng donated by the current owner, Troy Palmer, father of the late Dalton Palmer.
As most know, Dalton lost his life November 15, 2014 in an accident on his property. Our family has been blessed with the help of the community keeping Dalton's memories alive. Little League baseball was a big part of Dalton's life, which an annual baseball tournaments are held at two locations. One at Garvin Park and one in El Dorado in their Little League facilities where Dalton and the Augusta Cubs played most of the time.
The City of Augusta and Troy Palmer have been working on plans for this play park and construction is plan to start in the near future. Below you can view the pics for the purposed Play Park which will add beautication to our downtown area and give the children of our community another place to have fun. A great place to hangout while their parents are shopping our downtown area.
